We are a group of five enthusiastic family physicians in midtown Toronto committed to providing the highest quality comprehensive and continuous primary care to our patients.

We are looking for a medical office assistant to join our collegial team


JOB DUTIES:

• Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records
• Greet and checkin patients, verifying their information
• Collect and process payments from patients (OHIP and third party payments)
• Assist with medical billing and coding as needed
• Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
• Communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies to ensure smooth operations
• Organize and file all incoming patient paperwork, faxes and scans

SKILLS:

• Proficient in administrative tasks and office management
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (_knowledge of Telus Practice Solutions EMR is helpful but NOT mandatory*_)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask, time manage and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
• Familiarity with front desk operations in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle patient inquiries professionally
• Highly motivated and team oriented
• Responsible, reliable and hard working

Part time hours: 25-30 hours per week


Salary:
$19-$21 per hour
