Under the general direction of the Training, Quality & Knowledge Management (TQKM) Lead, the Knowledge Management (KM)
Specialist role is responsible for developing and maintaining content for the Customer Care knowledge repository. The KM Specialist
ensures the effectiveness and ongoing enhancement of the knowledge resources available to the Customer Care division. This role
supports the effective implementation of the technical platform, process and governance structures used for KM at Manitoba Hydro.


_ Responsibilities:
_


  • Create, maintain, edit, and evaluate content for knowledge management platform while coordinating the content review
process for ongoing updates.

  • Design and produce knowledge content, maximizing the user experience, graphical design, and information availability.
  • Collect and/or develop learning and information materials used for training and support of Customer Support Representatives
- and related teams' knowledge and understanding.- experts) to effectively develop knowledge content.
  • Stay informed of required updates (e.g., changes to legislate, rates, services) and ensure these are communicated effectively.
  • Produce written content for training courses based on requirements and materials provided.
  • Develop SOPs with work instructions for how work is carried out, outline signoff requirements & procedures.
  • Monitor usage of Knowledge Base and optimize information structure to prioritize accessibility of highfrequency topics.

_ Qualifications:
_


  • A fouryear degree from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of one year directly related experience.
OR

  • A twoyear diploma in Business Administration or a related discipline from an institute of recognized standing, plus a minimum
of three years directly related experience.

  • Possess strong personal computer skills, with a demonstrated ability to keep up to date with current hardware and software
technology.

  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, showing good judgment in problem solving and decision making.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to prepare and present recommendations in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a minimum of supervision; to take the initiative in planning work /
- developing action plans; and to exercise sound judgment.
  • Available to work flexible hours of work in accordance with P550 between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday) to support
the hours of operation in the Customer Engagement Center.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $30.85-$42.67 Hourly,
$59,111.00-$81,758.82 Annually.
