Employment Opportunity for the position ofPortfolio Administrator, Pensions and Institutions (6-month contract)
Vancouver, BC
Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd. Is an employee-owned firm, headquartered in Vancouver with offices in Calgary and Toronto. We manage over $23 billion of assets on behalf of pension, foundation, corporate, Aboriginal, and individual clients across Canada.
The primary role of the administrator is to provide operational support to the Institutional Portfolio Management group.
This position will appeal to someone with experience in the financial services industry, preferably within an investment management setting, who is passionate about client service, zealous in their pursuit of operational efficiency, and comfortable working in a team-based environment.
Responsibility Areas:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly client reports, correspondence, and presentations
- Respond to auditor, client, and consultant requests
- Assist with openings, transfers, and closings of institutional client accounts
- Maintain client contact details and important documentation in CRM database
- Distribute portfolio reviews on a quarterly basis
- Help with ad hoc projects of a groupspecific or firm wide nature
- Ad hoc marketing assistance, including updates of group's conference calendar, ordering marketing materials, and assisting with event logistics as required
- General administrative duties
Qualification and Experience:
- One year of experience working in the investment or financial services industry
- Completion (or current enrollment) in the Canadian Securities Course is an asset
- High level of proficiency in:
- Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS)
- Word (version control, document editing)
- PowerPoint (advanced presentations)
- Outlook (shared calendars, meeting ownership)
- CRM database and Portfolio Management Software (contact management, report production)
- Advent APX and Salesforce
