Position Summary:


  • Focus of the position is to operate Parkland's proprietary Pricing Information Centre, which is the tool used to manage fuel prices at ~1,100 retail gas stations.
  • Coordinate fuel pricing at Parkland's retail gas stations by collecting information from field, determining prices, and communicating prices.
  • Oversee execution of prices at retail gas stations to ensure that accurate and timely prices changes are made.
  • Seek out additional information via online sources or working with station operators when required for making price change decisions.

Key Responsibilities:


Pricing Execution:

  • Coordinate fuel pricing at Parkland's retail gas stations by collecting information from field, determining prices, and communicating prices.

Communications:

  • Prepare and distribute several reports and statistics on pricing activity and market conditions.
  • Engage station operators, Territory Managers, Regional Operations Managers, Pricing Operations Manager as needed to carry out pricing responsibilities and securing necessary price change approvals.

Qualifications and Skills:


Required:


  • High level of individual initiative and motivation, focus on quality of work, and attention to detail.
  • Positive, "will do" attitude when faced with ambiguity and/or challenges.
  • Strong work experience, demonstrating organizational, analytical, and communication skills, a proven record of positive business results, and an increasing level of responsibility.
  • Strong team orientation. Able to work with a diverse team based in a field and corporate environment, while working autonomously on daytoday tasks and special projects / initiatives.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Generally comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new software.
  • Must be available to work weekend and holidays as this business line is open 7 days a week and open on holidays. Able to work on weekdays, weekends, or holidays depending on shift hired and/or business needs.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), oral and written, is required.

Optional:


  • Experience with analytical tools (e.g., database, geospatial, and/or business intelligence software) is an asset.
  • Experience in downstream fuel pricing or Canadian retail fuel is an asset.
  • Desire to enhance Parkland's pricing execution capability through development of reusable processes and tools, improving its efficiency, accuracy, and analytics.
