Footprints Security is a 100% locally owned and operated security and guest services provider, proudly serving Vancouver Island since 1980.

Footprints Security is seeking an experienced and energetic administrative and operational professional to join our Head Office team in a
Security Operations and Communications Centre Operator role for afternoon and overnight shifts across all days of the week.


General Responsibilities

  • Morning, Afternoon and overnight shifts , ,
  • Perform dispatch duties; extensive time spent on the phone, scheduling employees, taking shortnotice service requests, responding to questions, and initiating appropriate responses to requests.
  • Complete a variety of complex and detailoriented administrative tasks in support of the Central Island operation
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute various reports both internally and externally
  • Maintain accurate and organized company file systems and operational equipment inventories
  • Manage multiple simultaneous and competing priorities effectively and efficiently, within mínimal supervision
  • Assist with fleet maintenance administration and coordination
  • Complete data entry in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform a variety of operational tasks, including operational supply coordination, purchasing, and organization
  • Followup with and act as a liaison with various individuals, both internally and externally, at all levels of the organization with the highest level of customer service
  • Perform daily errands and basic cleaning tasks
  • Organizing and maintaining a filing system including management of document purging
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • University degree preferred; will consider experience in lieu of formal education
  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an administrative and/or operational role in a busy, dynamic office environment
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to jump in and assist
  • Ability to be productive and efficient with limited supervision
  • Ability to work with precision and accuracy while demonstrating attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in an office environment with fluctuating volumes and demands
  • Ability to mitigate problems and find creative solutions
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask while prioritizing work
  • Valid Class 5 or 7 BC Driver's License
  • Ability to safely perform the physical elements of the position, which includes lifting (<10 KG), bending, crouching, and reaching
  • A Criminal Record Check is required
