SUMMARY


The Advanced Manufacturing Technician works on the simplest to the most complex operations in the Advanced Manufacturing Center to manufacture a wide variety of landing gear parts of different designs and material types.

The position performs related and general duties in accordance with various types of working instructions and maintains equipment and keeps their work area in good condition.

This position is On-Site role


Work Shift:
Mon-Thurs 4x10 (6:00 am-4:00 pm)


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Production plan

Ensure the optimal production of equipment, machines and tools are achieved.


Analyze the work, identify the production requirements, foresee any special requirements relating to problems in advance and lead improvement activities.


Diagnose production indicators and statistical data, and carry out operation cycles to run several machines or internal or external processes simultaneously for the Advance Manufacturing Center.

Maintain and control the flow of parts and their inventories in the most effective way.

Carry out the requests for each type of supply, ensuring that Internet of Things (IOT) systems are monitored and kept up to date.

Make the necessary settings, adjustments and correct the alignment of tools, equipment and precision measuring instruments.

Use mechanisms such as "ANDON" to identify events that affect the progress of work in accordance with the standards.

Initiate and run clinics to meet the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

Take the actions required to maintain the production rate in order to ensure on-time delivery to customers.

Maintenance Plan


Use various IT systems and technologies, such as machine interfaces and automated lines, dashboards, the EH&S system, the tooling, maintenance and non-product management systems and/or any other IT systems required for the Advanced Manufacturing Center to run smoothly.

Global quality plan


Ensure compliance with the quality plan by completing dimensional and visual inspections of parts and tools in accordance with the manufacturing plan.

Analyze indicators in a proactive manner. Investigate the causes of recurring problems. Recommend, direct, introduce and ensure the follow up of preventative or corrective actions in addition to work techniques and methods (continuous improvement)

Document all requirement related to the quality management system (QMS)

Confirm that parts meet all the required standard and specifications.

For all of these plans, provide information, offer guidance and share knowledge with colleagues. Coordinate the support required for various pieces of equipment and tasks related to the work to be completed.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and five years of relevant, technical experience in a machining environment, or an Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline and minimum three years of relevant, technical experience.

In the absence of degree, 9 years of relevant machining and technical experience.

Basic programming experience is an asset.

Strong ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings and technical procedures

Demonstrated and proven record of leading troubleshooting and problem solving within a machining environment.

Strong ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from leaders and customers.


Previous experience with continuous improvement tools, including the ability to analyze and improve processes to reduce cost and improve quality.

Strong ability to work simultaneously on multiple assignments and thrive in a team-oriented structure
