    Our Information Technology team plays a critical role at Nutrien, enabling our business with the technology needed to advance toward our digital future. In addition to managing the systems and tools that keep our company running, we enable Nutrien's tech strategy and digital roadmap. This position is based in either Calgary, Alberta or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and reports to the VP Enterprise Applications and Data.

    What you will do:

  • Coordinate activities between IT Service Delivery leaders, Internal Controls (SOx)/Audit teams and external auditors.
  • Drive overall maturity and understanding of SOx concepts across IT ensuring that audit controls are a part of the design of Nutrien's systems.
  • Own sub-processes for IT controls within our TRA (Technology Risk Assessment) framework.
  • Lead and manage projects related to controls and risk globally across multiple IT functions.
  • Lead and coordinate IT audit response and evidence activities for Nutrien's annual internal and external audits ensuring quality deliverables and responses to deficiencies.
  • Establish and keep evergreen a robust IT audit framework including risk control matrixes reducing Nutrien's overall risk profile.
  • Drive improvements in audit processes through automation.
  • Identify areas of weakness in IT controls or processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Track the progress of implementing audit recommendations and verify their effectiveness.
  • Partner with our managed service teams to deliver PBC evidence timely according to our audit calendar.
  • Collaborate with Nutrien's internal SOx audit team and leaders across IT to address concerns and respond to audit deficiencies and escalations.
  • Drive broader reporting and project execution in the Application and Data area beyond SOx context as required.
  • What you will bring:

  • Accredited post-secondary degree at a university level.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a large heterogeneous IT environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with proven ability to lead via influence with demonstrated delivery acumen and experience.
  • Strong fundamental understanding on IT system design, architecture and integration.
  • Strong fundamental grasp on system design and architecture.
  • Experience with audit processes, audit principles, SOX system compliance, IT controls, and risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in a large corporate environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex IT systems, identify risks, and develop effective recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, writing, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter and continuous learner with a keen eye for detail.
  • Collaborative leader able to work across teams, functions, and locations.
  • Demonstrated experience with SharePoint lists, JIRA, ServiceNow, or other ticketing/tracking systems.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Professional auditing designation preferable (CISA, or equivalent).
