    The Senior Manager Sales and Marketing role is responsible for leading a team of Account and Market Managers to attain CN's corporate goals and targets within their strategic portfolio. The position collaborates with team members across CN and related industries to deliver on strategies that impact sales targets, improve contribution, address cost saving initiatives, grow revenue, and net income for the company. The role takes ownership of profitability, pricing guidelines, strategic direction, market research, marketing processes, and competitive assessments.

    Main Responsibilities

    Strategic Growth

    · Develop strategies to grow profitable revenue, volume, and contribution

    · Examine ways and collaborate with operations to create efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve yield

    · Lead project development

    · Spearhead innovation in areas with functions' scope

    Customer Relations

    · Develop market strategies, pricing guidelines, marketing policies, and contract development

    · Focus on continued export growth to expand faster than the underlying market

    · Contribute to contract renewal preparation and price-volume-mix calculations

    · Develop and maintain strategic relationships with customers, foreign railroads, and industry groups

    Leadership

    · Staff coaching and development that promotes CN's leadership values and CN's safety culture

    Working Conditions

    The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress. The position requires occasional travel (up to 30%) to meet customers and stakeholders.

    Requirements

    Experience

    Marketing and Sales

    · Between 7 to 10 years of experience in a marketing and sales role including Market Manager and Account Manager

    o Experience leading a team*

    · Experience working with operations on initiatives to promote growth

    Education/Certification/Designation

    · Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Finance or Business Administration

    · Master's Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Finance or Business Administration*
