What can you expect in this role?

  • Partner with enterprisewide business teams to understand their business problems and brainstorm meaningful and creative solutions.
  • Design, develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and data insights that provide value to our business partners.
  • Maintain and support existing reports, dashboards and other processes owned by the team.
  • Implement BI leading practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Learn and use cutting edge technologies, such as BigQuery, VertexAI, Google Cloud Platform, Tableau Server among others.
  • Collaborate with other data teams (IT, advanced analytics, data governance etc.) to address business partner inquiries
  • Participate in strategic discussions to enhance your technical skillsets, as well as business & P&C insurance industry knowledge

What do you bring to the role?

  • University or college degree in Computer Science, Business with Computer Science minor, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in a business intelligence (or related) role. P&C insurance industry experience will be an asset.
  • Experience using big data databases, with experience on Cloud preferred (ideally Google Cloud Platform)

Hands-on experience developing reports using modern BI software (Tableau preferred
):

  • Background in data analysis tools, particularly SQL (BigQuery, R, SAS would be considered assets)
  • Ability to understand varied business needs and recommend datadriven solutions
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies (including agile development) preferred.
- "Can-do" attitude to solving business problems.

  • Strong time management & communication skills.

Salary range is $48,700 - $89,800.
