    Role Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled SAP HANA Database Administrator / SAP Basis Engineer responsible for installation, upgrades, performance optimization, and end-to-end management of SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA systems. The role requires strong knowledge in:

    • HANA database operations
    • Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) configurations
    • Solution Manager monitoring
    • SAP application layer troubleshooting

    Key Responsibilities

    1. HANA Database Administration

    • Perform SAP HANA installation, upgrades, and revision upgrades
    • Manage HANA DR setup, maintenance, and failover support
    • Conduct day-to-day HANA DB operations including:
      • Backup & restore
      • Monitoring
      • Troubleshooting errors and alerts
      • Start/stop activities in standalone and DR scenarios
    • Execute performance troubleshooting, log analysis, and trace collection
    • Perform system refreshes for standalone, DR, and HA landscapes
    • Monitor and resolve issues using HANA Cockpit and DB alerts

    2. SAP S/4HANA & Fiori Administration

    • Perform S/4HANA and Fiori upgrades
    • Troubleshoot Fiori tile issues, connectivity problems, and backend S/4 communication
    • Preferred: Knowledge of SSO configuration and troubleshooting across the SAP landscape

    3. High Availability & Application Server Support

    • Support HA configurations for SAP application servers
    • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues related to:
      • Performance
      • SAP GUI
      • Connection failures

    4. SAP Solution Manager (SolMan)

    • Configure and manage Solution Manager for:
      • Technical Monitoring
      • EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) setup
      • End-user monitoring
    • Experience with Wily Introscope / Diagnostics Agent setup and satellite system configuration

    5. System Connectivity & Certificate Management

    • Manage router certificate renewals
    • Maintain and troubleshoot connections for new systems and remote connections

    6. Upgrade & Migration Tooling

    • Strong hands-on experience with:
      • SUM (Software Update Manager)
      • DMO (Database Migration Option)
      • SWPM (Software Provisioning Manager)

     

    Essential Skills

    • SAP HANA database installation, revision upgrades, DR setup, and lifecycle maintenance
    • Daily HANA DB operations: backup, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting
    • HANA Cockpit and DB alert monitoring
    • S/4HANA and Fiori upgrade & issue resolution
    • SAP landscape SSO knowledge (preferred)
    • HA setup knowledge for application servers
    • SAP Solution Manager configuration & monitoring (EWA, technical monitoring)
    • Wily / Diagnostics Agent configuration
    • Router certificate management & connection troubleshooting
    • Expertise in SUM, DMO, and SWPM tools

    Desirable Skills

    • Experience with automation and scripting
    • Cloud hosting knowledge for SAP systems
    • Experience with security hardening and audit compliance
