We are seeking One - (1)
Heavy Civil Construction Project Superintendent to support project opportunities with
Neetah Construction.

This position will be site based, but reporting to the civil division located in saskatoon Saskatchewan. You'll be joining a team of recognized industry experts on work that's critical to our clients and our communities.

Job Summary:

As the,
Heavy Civil Construction Project Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing all Operational elements of Heavy Civil Construction, Water and Sewer Construction, Road and Highway Maintenance, and Other Miscellaneous Earth moving projects in Saskatchewan, working in collaboration with the Project Manager to deliver high quality projects on time and on budget.


Scope of Responsibilities:


  • Direct day to day tasks for crews which may include but be limited to crew movements, daily operations, traffic, trucking and procurement on highway maintenance/repair projects. This may include initial mobilization and set up of construction sites, scheduling and allocating personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Manages and coordinates the daily and weekly activities of foremen, crew members and equipment as per the project plan schedule in an efficient manner. Sets performance and schedule goals and provides coaching and training as required.
  • Provide timely administration, planning and communications/reporting to the Project Manager.
  • Monitor and ensure safety and quality standards are met and adhered to in accordance with company policy, quality documentation and legislative requirements.
  • As the key frontline communicator, ensure ongoing and timely communication with the Project Manager. Develop working relationships and communicate with Client representatives. Coordinate daily with the project management team and work toward long term planning.
  • Manage the daily person, equipment, time, and internal submittals.
  • Coordinate equipment usage, fueling needs and equipment maintenance tasks. Manage the supply and asset procurement.
  • Coordinate traffic control and inspections in accordance with work procedures.
  • Perform site walkthroughs to ensure the project site is safe, clean, and orderly.

Qualifications:

- +10 years of experience in road and highway building and/or maintenance.

  • Background and knowledge of managing teams, equipment operation and maintenance, safety, quality control, materials management, and trucking.
  • Ability to work under tight production schedules and deadlines, with effective timemanagement.
  • Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle changing demands.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
