FTS has a new and existing position available as a shipping/receiving inventory control clerk.


Primary Job Responsibilities (will include but not be limited to)

  • Responsible for loading and unloading the trucks; using forklifts of various sizes and weights
  • Receiving incoming raw material and parts, labelling, and putting them away in a wellorganized manner
  • Packaging finished products and making the proper paperwork so they can be shipped/ delivered to customer
  • Creating PO's and delivery tickets for vendors
  • Organize and coordinate daily shipping requirements
  • Organizing current stock items and putting them away while updating our ERP system
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory stock levels ( includes correcting ERP system when mistakes have been made during purchasing or manufacturing )
  • Assist in maintaining tidy and organized raw material racks and vendor/customer parts inventory racks/shelves.
  • Build wooden shipping crates and skids; shrink wrap as required
  • Staging inventory/purchased parts so they can be delivered to the desired plant location
  • Label parts as per packing lists
  • Valid drivers' licence for pick up and deliveries
  • Receive and check incoming products against packing slips, MTRs or letter of compliance to Quality Assurance
  • Perform any other tasks as required to better the company
  • Use skill saws, nail guns, and other hand tools as per company policy
  • Fill in daily timesheets
  • Wear approved personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eye protection and foot protection
  • Maintain the required level of quality
  • Responsible for all receiving of goods
  • Occasional use of overhead cranes, ladders, and other company equipment as per company procedures

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work effectively with team members but also be independent and selfreliant when completing tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Organization skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical parts, material, and fittings
  • Demonstrates initiative and problem solves proactively
  • Accountable for deadlines and job requirements

Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour
