Overview:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for all capital projects at PK Metal Works Ltd. It is incumbent on the Coordinator to ensure scheduling, procurement, engineering/drafting and production to meet the client's expectations. The PC is also responsible to ensure that PK Metals financials goals set for in the budget/estimates are met.

The PC directly liaises with the clients and performs direct supervision on sight. Meeting the client's and PK Metal Works safety, environmental and scheduling needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with his constituents to ensure that all projects are scheduled in a costeffective manner meeting the needs of the company and its clients.
  • Ensures that changes in the contracts are identified, priced, and approved by the client.
  • Ensure inspections are performed in a logical sequence as set forth in the contract and adhere to PK Metal Works Ltd standard operating procedures


  • Safety

  • Ensure all field crews work in a safe conscientious manner and conform to all regulatory bodies, ie WCB
  • Develop installation procedures to meet the client and PK Metal Works needs
  • Oversee all installations and ensure all needs of the client and PK Metal Works are met.
  • Coordinate all project costs and ensure we meet profitability goals.
  • Communicates to the estimating department field challenges and conditions which can affect future estimates.
  • Maintain appropriately sized field crew to maintain our contractual needs.
  • Provide documentation as requested and help Sales with quotes.
  • Resolve any issues with projects/employees in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Ensure field equipment and supplies is maintained, neatly stored when not in use and organized.
  • Review all drawings on capital projects and ensure they can be effectively and efficiently produced in our facility.
  • Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements.

Duties:


  • Ensure the E2/business managing system reflects all changes to scopes of work.
  • Quote all Change Orders to the Client on E2 and follow up as required.
  • Issue Purchase Orders in the E2 system for all field needs
  • Develop spreadsheets for scheduling all projects.
  • Create and administer documentation for safety.
  • Create and administer work plans.
  • Create and administer all documentation for Capital Projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors to meet project needs.
  • Communicate with clients and constituents to ensure we receive answers to our inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Communicate any issues and possible solutions to Operations Manager as issues arise.
  • Create NCR's as issues arise and assist in investigations, as necessary.
  • Create priority lists and ensure that all procurement needs are met.
  • Issue all work orders as needed for capital projects.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required.
  • Establish progress and direction of the
project by achieving goals, reaching targets, solving problems and

mitigating risks.


Skills and Experience:


  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook documents
  • Proficient in company MRP/ERP (Manufacturing Resource Planning and Enterprise Resource Planning)
  • Has strong business writing skills.
  • Read manufacturing, engineering, and architectural drawings.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication.
  • Working knowledge of erecting techniques and procedures.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Conflict resolution.
  • Problem solving.
  • Be selfmotivated and able to motivate others.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.

Reporting,
This Position Reports to the Operations manager.


Salary:
TBD - Depending on Experience.


Start date:
as soon as possible.

Up to $70,000.00 per year
