An independently owned pharmacy looking for a part-time Pharmacy Assistant.

We are looking for a positive and friendly individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a good work ethic.

You must be proactive, hard-working, punctual, and compassionate with the patients.

The pharmacy provides OAT services to downtown east side residents.


Hours:9.30 am to 3.30 pm, three to four days per week.


Salary:
$17 to $20 per hour depending on the experience.


Duties:

• To assist pharmacists in day-to-day Pharmacy operations.
• To make blister packs for the daily dispensing of medications.
• To assist pharmacists in counting and maintaining the Narcotic inventory.
• Answer phone calls, do prescription filling, and record-keeping for all documents.
• Assist pharmacists in making deliveries ready for the next day.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free workspace.
• Faxing refill authorization requests and missed dose reports to the doctor's office.
• Ordering and receiving pharmacy inventory and checking for medication expiries from time to time.
• And other duties necessary for the day-to-day operation of the Pharmacy.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Win Rx software is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Computer.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous pharmacy experience is preferrable.
