Overview


We are seeking
Instructors** for our
Health Care Aide program** to guide and prepare students for entry-level positions in the field.

Instructors will teach with Hybrid to develop and deliver:
synchronous and asynchronous course content through D2L (Brightspace) and scheduled virtual classrooms. Laboratory courses will also be taught on site.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Share industry-related knowledge, expertise, and passion with the students- Respond to student inquiries and provide feedback in a respectful and timely manner- Record student attendance and grades- Develop and maintain a supportive learning community- Provide guidance and support to adult learners- Deliver course content via Brightspace/D2L Learning Management System (LMS)- Deliver instruction that meets course and program objectives as set out in the curriculum- Evaluate student performance fairly, promptly and consistently- Collaborate with other teams (Student Support, Practicum and Career Services, Centre for Teaching and Learning, etc.) to contribute positively to the student experience- Support the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience- Act in a manner that upholds the professional expectations and standards of Robertson College- Maintain an online presence in the Brightspace LMS by challenging, engaging, and communicating with students to encourage their participation and learning- Evaluate and post grades in a timely manner.- Perform other duties/participate in special projects as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS- Diploma or degree related to Nursing combined with 1 to 2 years of clinical nursing experience, dependent on the credential earned.- Successful completion of a Health Care Aide program with 2 years of relevant experience.- Experience instructing adults and/or delivering (individualized or group) workplace training is required.- Certificate in Adult Education is an asset.- Able to engage and motivate students through innovative and interactive teaching methods. Able to adapt, administer and evaluate student performance.- Exhibits a high standard of work ethic, confidence, positive attitude, and professionalism.- Experience with Desire 2 Learn (D2L) learning management system an asset- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.- Able to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems effectively.- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.- Strong organizational and time management skills.- Dependable, reliable, and punctual in fulfilling responsibilities and commitments consistently.- Strong team player with the flexibility to adapt to changing environments.- Demonstrates multicultural sensitivity and awareness.


Schedule:

Must be available from Monday - Friday

Morning Class: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Afternoon Class: 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.


Evening Class: 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.


Job location:
Hybrid (Winnipeg Campus)


Work hours: 20-40 hours per week


Rate per hour:
$34 - $37/hour depending on qualifications met
