Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Generate and analyze adhoc financial reports
Drive process improvements with daytoday financial tasks
Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Conduct variance analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings
Coordinate with Sales to track and manage vendor rebate programs
Collaborate with AR and AP to investigate discrepancies and troubleshoot customer and vendor accounts
Provide support with yearend audit

Payroll Management:

Maintain accurate and comprehensive personnel records
Review financial accuracy of biweekly payroll for hourly/salaried employees (Canada and US)
Address payroll inquiries and discrepancies promptly
Stay updated on legislative changes for payroll compliance
Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate benefits deductions
Prepare and submit payrollrelated tax filings

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
35 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Payroll administration
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with a commitment to professional development
Knowledge of Canadian and US payroll legislation and tax regulations (considered an asset)
Strong Excel proficiency and experience with ERP and payroll systems (knowledge of Visual is an asset)
Able to multitask and prioritize effectively
Critical thinker, willing to suggest process improvements
Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problemsolving skills
Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
