Description
The
Field Service Technician responsibilities will include day-to-day functions related to Shop Inspection and Repair, Field Service and Repair, Start-ups and Site Commissioning, chargeable shop and field service, and Warranty resolution/ administration (risk management) for the Eastern provinces.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will,
- Be a point of contact for the Customer on service and warranty related matters assigned to you.
- Be responsible for inspection of pump and / or compressor equipment.
- Field Service Inspection and Repair as assigned
- Prepare comprehensive field service reports for submission to end users, DXP/Natpro Represented Manufacturers and internal departments.
- Prepare all the required system documents towards ensuring effective and efficient quotation and order processing.
- Be responsible for providing superior product support (including warranty), to DXP/Natpro Represented Manufacturers installed population of pumps and compressors.
- Work directly with represented manufacturers to obtain technical information, costing, special requirements, and warranty support for orders assigned to you.
- Maintain Service vehicles, Service tools and supplies assigned to you.
- Work closely with Technical Services to provide input and support related to customer process and issues.
Required Experience and Education Needed:
- Five years experience working at a senior level within an After Market Service Department in the pump and/or compressor industry.
- Technical education and background, (Journeyman ticket or equivalent rotating equipment experience is an asset)
- The ability to understand, implement and practice the principals of root causes failure analysis.
- The ability to work on multiple projects, and prioritize while meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills. (with a focus on technical) and ability to read and comprehend relatively complex technical documents translating factual information into clear and comprehensive recommendations, and proposed solutions.
- Superior organizational skills, a selfstarter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.
- The ability to facilitate solutions between customers and represented manufactures.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
