Position Summary:


TRU is the premier wood frame builders risk market in Canada and is able to deploy considerably more wood frame capacity on a single project than any other market in Canada.

Essential Functions:


  • Coordinate policy submissions, research and analyze information, and review for accuracy.
  • Assemble underwriting files, track and assist with followup during underwriting process, coordinate receipt of and review insurer binders and other coverage documentation.
  • Assure accounts are consistently followedup in a timely manner.
  • Support of underwriting and policy management processes.
  • Perform analysis and reporting functions.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure all requirements are handled.
  • Data Entry in Agency Management Software.

Education/Experience/Skills:


  • Bachelor's Degree; Concentration on Business Administration, Risk Management or Finance/Accounting is a plus.
  • 13 years of experience within wholesale insurance is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office Suite programs; Advanced Excel skill is a plus.
  • Organization Skills: Extremely organized, selfmotivated, and capable of working independently on multiple projects concurrently while maintaining keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem solving skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the commercial construction industry is a plus.
