Christie's Mill Inn & Spa is currently looking for a Cook for our Breakfast Department


Job Purpose:
To cook all breakfast items between 8am and 11:30am daily.


Responsibilities:


  • Open up each morning preparing and organizing all hot items for morning shifts.
  • Ensure that all food is cooked to specifications.
  • Ensure that all food is stored in proper containers and at proper storage and holding temperatures.
  • Prep/Cook only sufficient food in advance to cover expected business volume and to maintain quality.
  • As half of the shift time involves guest contact, a "Guest First" approach is a must.
  • Prepare necessary food items for the following day as required and directed.
  • Maintain the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations.
  • Assist breakfast attendant when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:


  • Must be able to "prep" food products, using standardized food preparation techniques.
  • Skillfully use hand tools or machines needed for work. Measure, cut, or otherwise work on materials or objects with great precision.
  • Read recipes of items to be prepared.
  • May be required to showcase omelettes to ensure food taste is satisfactory.

Pay:
$16.55-$19.00 per hour

Experience:

- cooking: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
