Are you looking for meaningful part time work with a great team of care givers at Red Deer Hospice? We are looking for a diligent, motivated Maintenance Worker with general carpentry skills and a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing who is interested in working 16 hours a week.

A valid drivers license, and a reliable vehicle (preferably a truck/van) are also required. The Maintenance person will provide routine repairs and maintenance to the Hospice building and grounds. Ensuring the coordination of regular maintenance checks (internally and contracted) in consultation with our Facility Coordinator.

Duties include but not limited to:

Perform a variety of building and grounds maintenance duties.
In conjunction with the Facility Coordinator identifies when contracted vendors or sub trades are required.
Oversees and advises regarding external contracts for lawn mowing, snow removal and parking lot maintenance.
Trouble shoots and or completes minor household repairs.
Maintains service logs and provider contacts listings.
Perform regular checks on identified areas to ensure preventative maintenance is occurring.
Trouble shoots issues regarding repairs of all Hospice equipment (TV's Kitchen appliances etc.)
Follows a preventative maintenance schedule.
Maintains tools and workspace in an organized and orderly manner.
Maintains facilities maintenance log of tasks completed.
Fosters positive public relations with vendors and all contacts within Hospice.
Collaborates with Facility Coordinator in establishing work priorities
