Heavy Equipment Operator/Labourer, Aurora, ON

Applicants should have commercial construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation.

MUST HAVE DZ License, blade/grading & shovel experience**_

Operate various pieces of construction equipment used in the day-to-day site operation and perform other labourer duties as assigned by the Supervisor when necessary:

Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions
Responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner which may include trucks, frontend loaders, excavators, backhoes, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of equipment
Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and securing all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures; load and unload material in a timely and efficient manner
Perform preoperational checks of equipment as well as basic maintenance on track or rubber tire undercarriage, buckets and attachments; lubricating equipment components and attachments
Complete and maintain equipment log sheets and reports
Perform site planning and set up by assessing job site conditions, and identifying or selecting appropriate attachments for the work to be done
Knowledge of Earthmoving fundamentals (soil characteristics, ground conditions, map reading), as well as relevant Health and Safety Acts, Municipal Codes & By-Laws, Natural Gas Regulations and Highway Traffic Act
