Job InformationJob Title: Team Lead North - Water Management Infrastructure Job Requisition ID: 78867 Ministry: Transportation and Economic Corridors Location: Edmonton Full or Part-Time: Full Time Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week Permanent/Temporary: Permanent Scope Classification Salary With Transportation and Economic Corridors you can engage in a fulfilling career with diverse room to grow The Department Promotes a Vital And Diverse Economy By Managing transportation safety Supporting municipalities with public transportation and water/wastewater facilities Expanding and enhancing a well-integrated transportation system and enabling market access Preserving and developing the provincial highway network and water management infrastructure For information about Transportation and Economic Corridors visit Shape Albertas water infrastructure today for generations to come Reporting to the Director of Water Management Infrastructure this role leads the delivery of complex water management infrastructure projects across central and northern Alberta You will oversee construction rehabilitation projects while leading a team of engineers provide specialist design construction related expertise These projects are critical to Albertas water supply flood protection drought mitigation interprovincial commitments Each brings unique technical environmental stakeholder challenges requiring innovative thinking strong leadership effective collaboration consultants contractors communities government partners Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of water management infrastructure projects managing scope schedule budget risk construction commissioning Provide technical oversight specialist review designs construction activities contract administration Procure manage engineering consultants ensuring consultant work conforms departmental standards guidelines Ensure environmental regulatory public consultation requirements met Oversee project budgets forecasts payments change orders Act as technical resource internal staff external stakeholders Lead development maintenance construction specifications guidelines best practices Mentor support team engineers Support coordination provincial water management capital maintenance budgets To Be Successful In This Position You Will Demonstrate Effective critical thinking problem-solving skills Strong written verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal leadership conflict resolution skills Self motivated prioritize work establish meet deadlines achieve expected results Proficiency Microsoft Office Excellent organizational relationship building skills ability provide direction technical advice monitor work contractors consultants
