Description

Port Hope Golf & Country Club is located just a short drive form the greater Toronto area and offers an intimate, country setting with an atmosphere unparalleled by any other golf course in Ontario.

Responsibilities:

Prepare food following approved standardized recipes and ensuring that portion control, temperature, and food presentation guidelines are adhered to
Work in a fastpaced environment preparing food to order on the line
Read orders and prepare food in a timely manner
Manage food preparation for special seasonal events and catering as required
Maintain detailed records including menu changes, food orders, delivery receipts, temperature checks etc.
Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures
Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas
Report any needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to management immediately
Work collaboratively with all kitchen and front of house staff to ensure smooth operations
Maintain a clean, safe work environment at all times

Qualifications:

Must have Safe Food Handlers certificate
Chef training or a culinary management diploma that meets Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities standards is preferred
Cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, or institutional setting preferred
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team
Available to work varied shifts as assigned
