Responsibilities:


  • Operate and maintain machines in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform visual inspections of parts and products.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
  • Follow written instructions for operating machines.

General Skills and Qualities Needed to Suceed:

  • Must have previous Supervisor experience.
  • Meet production Deadlines.
  • Issuing assignments
  • Problem solving sewing projects
  • Understanding how to read and interpret industrial designs to staff
  • Quality control
  • Time management of assignments by priority.
  • Translating design patterns to sewers.
  • Collection of staff job tickets.
  • Prior experience with industrial sewing (canvas, vinyl, fabric, tarps and other materials).
  • Working experience with Juki Sewing machines.
  • Working knowledge on single + double needle, long arm, serger, fabric cutter.
  • An attention to stitching detail and measurements.
  • Measuring and marking materials.
  • Cutting/trimming of materials.
  • RF welding/vinyl seeming.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, assembling, folding and packing of products for shipping.
- (up to 50 lbs on occasion)

  • Inventory control reporting
  • Previous Team Leader experience no less than 5 years.
  • Able to work the hours necessary to complete projects by the deadline.
- (this may occasionally require working additional hours or weekend work, but we try our best to avoid this)

  • A great likeable personality.
  • Effective communicator
  • The team leader will report and be directed by the daytime management on all assignments projects for completion.
  • WHIMIS certification
  • First aid workplace certification
  • Forklift (electric) operator experience
  • Safety glasses, gloves, and work shoes to be worn on site.


Mon - fri (40 hours per week) afternoon shift 4pm start but shift will be morning in the starting to understand the operational duties.

Full time permanent ( Mississauga)

Wages and benefits are based on skill level and work experience

Salary:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Woodbridge, ON L4L 4V9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- sewing: 1 year (preferred)
