About this team:


The People Analytics & Insights team at lululemon is on a journey to create a high-performance work culture by supporting the People & Culture (HR) organization and the rest of the company with data-driven insights.

As a People Data Scientist, you are an exceptional critical thinker comfortable leading end-to-end data science projects, and passionate about uncovering hidden opportunities deep within data.

You will work closely with leaders at all levels and project managers to address challenges that impact the whole company and its revenue from the employee and organizational perspective.

You will be responsible for collaborating with and supporting stakeholders and partners, using data to influence key strategic business decisions, and scale insights as we grow our work.


A day in the life:


  • Collaborate with People & Culture stakeholders and understand key business priorities and challenges to design the right actionable data science and analytics solution to address.
  • Deliver analytical and data science solutions, such as forecasts, predictivetype, driver analyses, group comparisons.
  • Analyze and interpret large and complex people data sets to distill insights; connect disparate insights into cohesive, wellgrounded recommendations
  • Build dashboards to deliver enduser friendly analytics and data science output, including guides and other supportive materials.
  • Presents data findings and insights across most levels of leadership and stakeholders in a compelling way and facilitate discussion that leads to decisions.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners from Tech, Legal, Finance and others on enterprisewide projects that make large business and employee impact
  • Socialize the importance of data governance and ethics and ensure consistency around data quality through process improvements.
  • Lead data science projects from start to finish, identifying opportunities, defining the problem, building a proof of concept, and deploying a data product
  • Conduct data mining on guest, product, sales, assortment data sources for insights; generate hypotheses to test for opportunities in improving the merchandising and planning process
  • Partner with Tech on a People Analytics data infrastructure and data warehouse build
  • Support ad hoc requests for analytics by stakeholders.

Qualifications:


  • Experience transforming and analyzing people data from multiple sources to drive business insights
  • Strong experience with advanced statistics (e

g, Descriptive and Inferential:
E.g., hypothesis testing, regressions, factor analysis, etc),

  • Strong experience with visualization tools and data spreadsheets, such as Power BI and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and experience successfully partnering with non analysts to drive improved outcomes for the business through analytics.
  • Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and detail orientation
  • Proven ability to deliver presentations to stakeholders that tell a compelling story using analytics relevant to the audience.
  • Experience with employee and organizational data is strongly preferred
  • Discretion and experience working with sensitive and confidential data
  • Training in a quantitative field or other relevant fields.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, problemsolving skills, and creativity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience SQL, querying, data mining & cleaning skills
  • Strong experience with R or Python
  • Ability to take on responsibilities and work with mínimal supervision;
  • Ability to create and maintain outstanding partner relationships;
  • Experience with Workday and Avature is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Able to turn business problems into analytical solutions
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
