    SENIOR ESTIMATOR - Low Mid Rise Residential

    Our client is one of North America's leading land developers and home builders and in the residential, multifamily, hospitality, office, and retail sectors.

    They pride themselves on developing and building some of North America's most iconic award-winning communities with a focus on driving urban change and sustainable community impact.

    Reporting to the Vice President of Contracts, as the Senior Estimator you will play a key role in the low-rise and mid-rise estimating team.

    You will be responsible for all estimating and budgeting initiatives for self-performed low-rise and mid-rise residential communities in southern Ontario.

    This Developer prides themselves on being an innovative, collaborative, performance driven team with a commitment to multipurpose impact.

    The Senior Estimator is responsible for the preparation of estimates for ongoing development projects that occur throughout the year including bid or budget preparation, design/build and hard-bid estimates.


    • Co-ordinate invitations to subcontractors and suppliers to bid on projects.
    • Complete estimate pricing and conduct price analyses.
    • Solicit and award some major subtrades to coordinate the work and implement the tender packages and subcontract awards in accordance with company standard policies.
    Finalize take-offs for base plan prototypes including site visit to confirm quantities.

    • Set up database for future use by vendors and suppliers through Purchase Orders.
    • Produce cost saving techniques, materials, and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
    • Develop, learn, and implement software which applies to the job.
    • Keep up to date on building code and municipal requirements.
    • Compile Summary of Estimates for future historical data.
    • Assist management with project planning through development reports and recommendations.
    • Pricing based on both historical data and market pricing.
