At our
Cambridge Facility we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck, defense and off-road equipment companies.

We feature fitting and welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly departments and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.


Role Summary
The incumbent will coordinate, prepare, monitor and support all levels of schedules. The incumbent will develop work breakdown structures and assign resources to each production activity, producing reports and analyses.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To ensure the efficient utilization of equipment, material and manpower.
  • To highlight problem areas during schedule updates so as to minimize schedule impacts and to permit workarounds.
  • Maintaining and distribution of the production schedule.
  • Communicate any delivery concerns to the team.
  • Communicate production schedule concerns to the rest of the team.
  • Issuing work orders complete with drawings.
  • Identify bottleneck resources
  • Close daily communications with operations manager and scheduling team to ensure that production schedules are maintained.
  • Tracking production completed
  • Key individual in driving the systemic approach in Visual MFG for Production and Master scheduling.
  • Assist in the setup of processes and procedures to streamline the production function.
  • Other duties as required

Key Qualification/Requirements:


  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the production process including experience in shop routing, bills of material and work orders.
  • MRP system experience is required.
  • Advance knowledge of excel and data analysis
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5 years experience in a welding and fabrication manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with blueprint drawings and inventory management experience is an asset.
