- Identify and resolve electrical, electronic, or mechanical issues on production equipment, including sensors, motors, heaters, controls, PLC/HMI systems, etc.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on automated production lines and control systems to uphold continuous operation in a 24/7 production environment.
- Regularly monitor electrical equipment and components to predict and prevent potential failures, ensuring uninterrupted production.
- Maintain production equipment in its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) condition, utilizing specified parts to avoid temporary fixes.
- Conduct occasional installations of new equipment and/or modifications to existing systems as required.
- Provide assistance with mechanical tasks, collaborating with millwrights and supporting mechanical maintenance operations.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, spare parts inventory, and maintenance logs efficiently.
- Maintain daily reports through CMMS or Maintenance Logbook entries, ensuring accurate documentation of completed work. Adhere to professional quality standards in electrical work and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work in accordance with ESA Standards and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Promptly report all injuries, property damage, material spills, or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Manager. Complete incident and accident reports as required.
- Assist in training new or junior staff members as requested by the Maintenance Manager or Management. Occasionally support production operations as needed.
- Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Certified Electrician (Red Seal or equivalent) with industrial maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with PLC/HMI systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
- Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment.
- Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance documentation.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
- French not required

The Industrial Electrician is an integral part of the maintenance team at our client's manufacturing plant in Beamsville, ON.Tasked with supporting the plant's 24/7 operation, the Industrial Electrician conducts electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and occasional new electrical installations.
Working closely with the maintenance team, the primary objective is to ensure efficient production and minimize unplanned downtime of production equipment.
