Operations Manager Responsibilities

Sourcing, negotiating and managing the purchases of all materials, services & operational equipment.
Organize, planning and cocoordinating all inventory activities
Ensure both receiving & shipping are working as a team to ensure the proper flow thru of product.
Ensure materials are ready & double checked for accurate deliveries.
Being proactive on back orders, while providing guidance to the CSR with customer communications.
Overseeing that the materials destined for rooftop or out of town deliveries are properly packaged & labeled.
Taking on the responsibilities of new staff orientation.
Assisting with the evaluations of staff members.
Consistent Training of Employees, performance reviews, etc.
Fleet Maintenance & Management
Responsible for Yard Maintenance and appearance
Working with the Branch Manager in developing branch and organizational objectives. Communicating proactively with other branches with transfers, while working on keeping the freight costs to a minimum.
Ensure the safekeeping of branch assets, inventories, cash & operational equipment.
Oversee the Month end & cash reports and make sure they are completed in a timely manner.
Promote & maintain awareness of the company safety policies.
Working with the Branch Manager to implement processes to keep operational costs lean, while providing increased efficiency.
Set an example for other staff members or reports.
All other duties as required
