Job Summary
Responsible for utilizing equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders, track dozers, and specialized material processing equipment (screeners and material stacking conveyors), engaged in the screening, blending and production of bulk topsoil products as well as their loading and distribution.
Regular working hours:
This will vary according to customer demand and weather conditions.
Reporting manager will assign the schedule, you may be required to start earlier and or finish later than work times assigned.
Overtime required during peak periods and when workload necessitates.Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with dispatch/order desk for job orders, product specifications; plan for material production and execute product distribution.
- Perform preoperational checks on all machinery and equipment:
- Check fluid levels, gauges, meters, grease equipment daily, perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshoot, track equipment must be cleaned daily.
- Complete Daily Machine check list.
- Ensure product material being loaded complies with the delivery slip.
Must be able to work within a 55 km radius from Bowes Road.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Communicate efficiently and act in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
- Able to work well independently and/or part of a team.
- Cultivate and maintain a positive attitude with customer satisfaction.
- Exercise regular visual concentration and maintain a continuous focus:
- When using the equipment, tools, equipment functioning (especially conveyor belts and rollers), product production and job site efficiency.
- Sustain working outdoors and exposure to temperature and extreme climate changes (hot, dry, windy, rainy, cold, wet).
