We currently have an exciting opportunity as a
Mechatronics Automation Technician The
Mechatronics Automation Technician will work in parallel with the Setup and Maintenance teams to prepare, adjust, and setup automation equipment, robots, and jigs used on the floor.

Principle Accountabilities:

Adjust proximity, inductive, capacitive and limit sensors on automatic equipment.

Load the appropriate program into any aux equipment

Changing any tooling and jigs associated to the automated equipment.

Perform adjustments, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on the equipment.

Setup takeout robots for production runs including EOAT, adjust pick points or minor adjustments to the program, adjust assembly tables etc.

Setup, changeover and PM Sonic Welders, Barcoder Machines, 3PA and Inlet Automation Equipment

Setup and PM resin pellet receivers and blenders

Clean valve stack filters.

Diagnose and solve basic pneumatics.

Program robots and alter programs. (Alter robot sequences)

Setup, change over and PM Enfield Automation cells, wire benders, crimpers etc.

Clean, unjam and PM conveyor systems. (Weening bros, EMI, belt conveyors, Intralox conveyors.

Assist Setup with all auxiliary equipment at the machine. (Can seal, mold heater controls, thermolators)

Additional duties as required

Requirements:

Successful completion of Post-Secondary education in Mechatronics or similar field 2 or 3 year diploma.
Digital literacy including Office suite, Word, Excel.
Experience in robot programming preferred.
Technical document literacy (schematics, prints, pneumatic diagrams)
Ability to follow written instructions.
Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
Selfmotivated and selfdirecting.
Ability to work well with other departments is a must.
Strong communication skills.
