Permanent Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for the field troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar mining and general line products, based out of our Victoria Gold Mine site in the Yukon.

Some of the equipment you will be working on includes 6040 Shovels, MD6290 Drills, 993K Loaders and 785 Haul Trucks.

This position will work on a 14x14 rotation. If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, autonomous, detail-oriented and possess your Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification with a valid driver's license, then you are exactly who we are looking for

Hourly premiums available:
night shift, first aid, and Victoria Gold uplift as per LOU

• Overtime is all counted as double time

Housing Job Description:
Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs
Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
Valid driver's license with a successful recent drivers abstract
Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
Drill and shovel experience would be considered an asset
This position is located at the Victoria Gold Mine Site on a 14x14 continuous shift rotation
Fully tooled service truck supplied
Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
