Description

A full-time or part-time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) position is available multi-disciplinary walk-in medical clinic in the North Burnaby area.

Duties:

You would be responsible for performing a variety of medical secretarial duties to physicians and other members of the clinic as assigned, including tasks such as:

scheduling and coordinating patient appointments with staff and doctors;

- registering patients on arrival and updating demographic information;
- replying electronic messages;
- processing referrals, consultations, follow-ups and hospital bookings;
- linking and faxing documents;
- preparing and cleaning rooms and equipment for examinations and procedures;
- opening and closing the clinic as required.

Qualifications

MUST BE LEGALLY ABLE TO WORK IN CANADA
Experience with an EMR & Cortico would be an asset (in particular OSCAR EMR)
Compassionate, fast learner and detailoriented
Ability to multitask in a fastpaced team environment
Excellent customer service, problem solving and communication skills
Selfstarter and responsible
Knowledge of a second language would be an asset (in particular Mandarin, due to the patient population)

Experience:

High-School Diploma
Experience/education working in healthcare or hospitality background an asset
