This is a full-time one year position.


Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This position also requires working outside of regular operational hours including evenings and weekends and requires travel to donor & Partner sites and agency's three sites across the GTA.

About The Role
The Manager, Partnerships and Funds Development is a key member of the organization's management team.

This role works closely with all levels of the organization to achieve the goals and directions set out in our organization's strategic plan - particularly related to fund development, funding stability, community engagement and marketing and communications.

This role will oversee 2 direct reports and provide direction related to achieving goals, evaluation, and performance management.

The Manager, Partnerships and Funds Development will collaborate extensively with leadership and management across the organization as well as key community stakeholders to achieve aggressive business development and fundraising targets.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to ensure the development and execution of the agency's short
- and long-term fundraising plans.

  • Research, develop and execute strategies and tactics for fundraising through major gifts, endowments, grants, service clubs, events, corporate support, planned giving, and other methods as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain relationships, develop, and support processes that will proactively build and advance connections with internal and external stakeholders to help ensure that the agency is maximizing fundraising and partnership ideas.
  • Act as a resource to all development project teams to ensure projects are moving forward and team members have support and resources required to achieve defined goals and targets.
  • Pursue fundraising opportunities that will enhance and diversify the organization's annual fundraising plans.
  • Oversee the direction and scope of work for the marketing and communications team ensuring an integrated approach with fundraising.
  • Manage, coach, mentor and oversee the performance of two bargaining unit employees, assign and delegate tasks.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement integrated marketing and communication strategies for public relations, media relations, social media presence, online giving, digital communications, messaging, outreach, storytelling, and branding.
  • Ensure all communications and marketing are constantly on brand.
  • Working in partnership with the management team to engage, cultivate, and steward existing and new initiatives.
  • Lead a team to effectively execute all aspects of fundraising and communications programs.
  • Provide strategic direction for proposals, cases for support and other fundraising materials.
  • Develop and lead a portfolio of Major Gift donors ($25,000+) through all stages of the donor cycle.
  • Authentically build, manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of major gift donors and potential donors to inspire and secure gifts of $25,000+.
  • Prepare related briefing notes and call reports, individualized solicitation proposals, presentations and other correspondence, in collaboration with Donor Relations and Programs.
  • Ensure Major Gift pledges, renewals and other gift transactions are processed effectively and efficiently.
  • Track the number of leadership donors and the health of the major gift donor pipeline.
  • Formulate and implement donorcentered and customized strategies for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of stewardship and recognition programs to ensure an excellent donor experience.
  • Provide support to development and implementation of corporate and community engagement
