Balmoral Lounge is looking for part-time Bartenders to work varying shifts between the hours of 10am and 1am, Monday-Sunday.

Responsible to and under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service, cleanliness and order in the bar.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and beverage items.
Pour and mix cocktails, beer, and wine in accordance with Balmoral training, recipes, and AGLC serving regulations
Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the bar and debit floats.
Opens and closes the bar counts floats and sales at the end of each shift, and upon closing.
Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in storage areas. Restocks kegs, backbar beer coolers and all alcohol products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.
Training parttime staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health Authority Act, U of A and Students' Union regulations and policies.
Perform other jobrelated duties as required by the Balmoral Operations Manager and other members of the Balmoral/UASU Management Team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Alberta Grade 12, or equivalent.
Excellent work habits, personal hygiene, professional appearance and dress in accordance with Students' Union policy.
Good physical condition and the ability to handle full beer kegs.
Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students' Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic attitude.
Must have ProServe and ProTect certification.
