Cisco 8300 IOS-XE help

Job summary
We have a Cisco C8300-INIS-4T2X running IOS XE with an internet outage issue.
Cisco isn't passing DNS, started to reboot but came up with an error,
Boot variable either does not exist or buffer is too small This may impact autoboot of the router. Proceed with caution
Cancelled it and ran show boot and I get the below:
BOOT variable does not exist
CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist
BOOTLDR variable does not exist
Configuration register is 0x2102
Tried the fix on this article but didn't work (possibly be cause it's in install mode but not sure) so need some help to resolve this for me so I can reboot.
