- Work with the executive team to establish the brand and brand positioning of the rental residential platform.
- Provide design input and feedback to the development group on purpose-built rental projects, ensuring alignment with market demand, operational efficiency, and branding standards.
- Provide expertise and guidance on lease up strategies, marketing plans, pricing, and tenant selection for purpose-built rental projects in conjunction with the SVP, Marketing and Sales.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as municipal authorities, consultants, contractors, brokers, and industry associations as required.
- Identify and evaluate new opportunities for purpose-built rental development and acquisition.
- Work with chosen external consultants such as market demand consultants, interior designers.
- Oversee the hiring, if needed, of external operations specialists who may be needed to develop or run a rental residential building.
- Support and participate in any other activities as may reasonably be required
- Stay abreast of market trends, best practices, and competitor activities in the purpose-built rental sector.
- Bachelors in Business, Real Estate, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience within residential operations and/or development industry in the GTA
- Specific previous exposure to purpose-built rentals
- Experience in the design and lease up high-end rental developments
- Strong knowledge of the Toronto rental market, regulatory environment, and industry standards
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
