Responsibilities:
- Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives as it relates to outbound freight.
- Improve current transit times while driving overall cost down.
- Leads and manages RFP process and onboarding/communication of new carriers.
- Work on special projects where transportation is a key stakeholder.
- Will drive any process changes to improve overall flow of communication & work.
- Compiles Monthly/Quarterly Transportation KPI reports for internal/external stakeholders and communicates results accordingly.
- Enforce any policies or safety rules related to outbound transportation & dock management.
- Liaise with Operations, QA and Sales team to identify outbound requirements (POD's, track/trace and expedite).
- Ensure all the corrective actions are taken including reporting to dispatch repairs needed and drivers involved.
- Ensure that carriers/operations provide accurate paperwork for all outbound shipments.
- Schedule all daily pick up requests and manages any freight claims.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify business requirements and goals.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support decisionmaking and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support datadriven insights and decisionmaking.
- Conduct process analyses to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Work with IT teams to develop and implement technology solutions to support business goals and requirements.
- Conduct training and support for endusers on business processes and systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for transportation and warehouse operations to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support project management, testing, and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Completed College Diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Transportation.
- Experience with WMS, ERP, and TMS systems an asset.
- Transportation and regulatory knowledge.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain business relations.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel intermediate) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills, detailoriented, resourceful, and selfreliant.
- Must be a team player, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines.
