Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance:


  • Clean and sanitize meat processing equipment, ensuring thorough disassembly and reassembly when necessary.

Surface Sanitation:


  • Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces in direct contact with meat, including cutting boards, tables, and processing areas.

Facility Hygiene:


  • Ensure overall cleanliness of the facility, including floors, walls, ceilings, and any other relevant surfaces.

Chemical Handling:


  • Safely and accurately use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals according to established protocols.

Waste Management:


  • Dispose of meat processing waste in compliance with regulations, keeping waste disposal areas clean.

Documentation:


  • Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, methods used, and any identified issues.

Inspections:


  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities, promptly addressing maintenance needs.

Coordination:


  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule cleaning during downtime, minimizing production disruptions.

Personal Hygiene:


  • Adhere to strict personal hygiene practices, including the use of protective clothing and hand sanitization.

Regulatory Adherence:


  • Stay informed about and comply with federal regulations related to food safety and sanitation.
  • Qualifications:_
  • Previous experience in sanitation within a food processing environment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper usage.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and communicate effectively.

Requirements:


  • Age and Footwear: At least 18 years of age, must be able to lift heavy object.

Safety Gear:
Possess CSA Approved Steel Toe Boots for safety compliance.


Independence and Teamwork:

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Comprehend the English language as safety orientations are conducted in English

Salary:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:


  • Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
