Position:
Maintenance Inventory Clerk


Reporting to:
Maintenance Manager


Status/Shift:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Hours Worked per Week: 40 hours


EDUCATION

  • A university degree or college diploma in engineering, business, or accounting
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Working knowledge of EPIX or other maintenance work order programs
  • Knowledge of machine parts
  • Knowledge of vendors
  • Telephone and communication skills
  • Inventory control experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to lift heavy items as needed

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order parts, create P.O., receive parts, stock parts and prepare all received orders for Accounts Payable
  • Maintain computer files (EPIX) for preventative maintenance, inventory control and equipment
  • Issue preventative maintenance work orders to mechanics weekly with followup to ensure all work orders are being completed and are up to date
  • Generate downtime, comprehensive work orders, weekly purchase orders and cost reports on a weekly basis
  • Maintain correct parts inventory (periodic counts) labelling, stocking shelves while recording accurate locations
  • Responsible for typing maintenance correspondence, including minutes and memos
  • Generate regular reports on PM completion, maintenance costs and supplier performance
  • Contact suppliers to schedule deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other problems
  • Reconcile physical inventories with computer counts.
  • Other duties as assigned
