$ $28.70

per hour

Within the framework of the Adult Addiction Programs, Sister Margaret Smith Centre is seeking dedicated Addiction Workers primarily for Crossroads Centre.

Crossroads Centre operates as a 24/7 pre/post-treatment abstinence-based program and is committed to providing comprehensive support to individuals on their recovery journey.

The Addiction Worker plays a pivotal role in delivering day-to-day support and programming to clients within the program, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Minimum of a twoyear Diploma in Social Services or Addictions field
Minimum of one year experience working with Adult Addiction clients in a congregate setting or communitybased programs

Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of addiction issues, crisis management and conflict resolution skills
Welldeveloped written and oral communication skills and excellent time management skills
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Thorough understanding of all aspects of substance abuse and/or problem gambling
Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Asset:
Knowledge of working with DBT, CBT framework is an asset

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

Ability to work irregular hours
Must undergo a successful Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
Valid Ontario driver's License
