Our primary target audience is Gen Z and young millennials, and we strive to distribute content in the most easily digestible way.


Responsibilities:


  • Create and host news and entertainmentrelated content for North Media Group's TikTok and Instagram channels
  • Keep up to date with local news in different cities in Canada to report on
  • Use basic editing skills on TikTok to create newsstyle videos
  • Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas
  • Engage with the audience and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
  • Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices

Preferred:


  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media or related field
  • 1+ years of experience creating content for social media platforms, preferably TikTok and Instagram
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Basic video editing skills, specifically on TikTok
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
