Description

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of a maintenance department and the supervision of a team responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of fleet.

Ensure all repairs and/or maintenance to equipment (diesel fleet, alternate fuel, containers, and other heavy-duty equipment) is performed in accordance with Company safety and compliance standards, and with all federal/state regulations.

Key Accountabilities
Complete repairs on all mechanical systems as required.
Participate in the GFL safety program and ensure compliance with all GFL Maintenance safety standards, policies and procedures
Assist in training employees
Keep the maintenance shop running smoothly and safely
Assist with establishing time standards and productivity standards

Requirements:

Journeyman Millwright
Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities on a wide range of machinery and equipment
Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft software and ability to adapt to new software programs
Excellent communication skills, management priorities and organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks
Possess own hand tools
