Requirements:


  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering
  • Able to demonstrate creative problem solving, good communication and organization skills with solid understanding of Windows environment
  • Previous experience with control systems and with C# or PowerShell is an asset
  • Willing to work in an industrial environment
  • Proven ability to learn innovative technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment
  • Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and to a diverse audience
  • Selfdirected and motivated to learn, with ability to meet several projects and work schedules simultaneously
  • Drivers license is required

Responsibilities

  • Participation in the health and safety programs of Teck to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every day
  • Conduct hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Build Reports and KPI's in data analytic tools
  • Cooperate with the team to deploy new and innovative software through proof of concepts
  • Conduct regular Mine Site visits to troubleshoot systems, install systems and coordinate activities with on board equipment
  • Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work. Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.

Wage Range:
$3,942 - $5,883 / month
