    Cloud Engineer - Azure

    Purpose and Objectives

    Over the last 15 years, Centrilogic has become a premier global provider of multi-cloud management, cloud-native application development solutions, and strategic end-to-end digital transformation services.

    The position of Cloud Engineer is a Senior level technical role within the organization and is an escalation point working on a dedicated team for a key strategic customer. The ideal candidate will collaborate and mentor junior and intermediate technicians. The resource will use their knowledge of the customer environment, knowledge articles, documentation, and effective troubleshooting capabilities to resolve incidents and provide advisory services to the customer. When required, escalation to vendors and effective coordination of resolution with those vendors will be key to the success of the customer. All issue resolution should be well documented for future reference.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Work during standard business hours for Mountain Time Zone
    • Available for on call rotation for P1 escalations
    • Work with junior, intermediate and vendors for escalated incidents.
    • Proactive review of environment for incident prevention and environment optimization
    • Participate in the Solution and Architecture review boards with the customer.
    • Assist with Vulnerability remediation requirements.
    • Prompt and detailed communication with customer regarding incident resolution
    • Well documented customer interactions in tickets.
    • Documentation and general administrative duties as assigned.
    • Creation of knowledge articles (KBs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to be delivered to intermediate and junior technicians for more efficient incident remediation.
    • Technical thought leadership and partnership with the customer.
    • Time tracking

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Create/Follow standard operating procedures and knowledge articles (SOPs and KBs)
    • Prioritize and multitask efficiently.
    • Plan communicate, implement, and document changes, such as patching or infrastructure changes.
    • Experience with Agile methodologies.
    • Create and/or update documentation.

    Senior understanding of the following technologies

    • Support of Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
    • Support enhancement and tuning of monitoring for Azure infrastructure and virtual machines.
    • Subject matter expert for Azure Public Cloud including platform services (EG Cloud networking, storage, PaaS services, etc.,) to assist with support and architecture.
    • Experience supporting and managing Azure Storage including Storage Accounts, Azure Files, and Azure NetApp Files
    • Experience supporting and managing application services hosted on Microsoft Azure including Azure Functions, Azure Web Apps, and Azure Logic Apps
    • Experience supporting and managing integration services hosted on Microsoft Azure including Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory
    • Maintain and Monitor Azure Defender and work with team on recommended remediation.
    • Support and Managing Azure Key vault and certificates/secret policies.
    • Leveraging native tools for Optimization of resources for cost management and budgeting
    • Supporting Disaster recovery testing, enhancement, and documentation to prepare for potential DR Events.
    • Working with customer teams to support infrastructure requirements and design.
    • Experience with Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Azure DevOps pipelines as it pertains to infrastructure as code deployment and management.
    • Citrix DaaS support and architecture.
