JOB DUTIES

  • Read blueprints / drawings.
  • Use of tools (i.e. saw, air gun drill, drill press, measuring tools, etc. in manufacturing settings).
  • Ability to work shifts and overtime when requested.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner and practice safe work habits.
  • Must be willing and flexible to rotate to various tasks as required.
  • Assembling components such as blowers, motors, panels, insulation, electrical boxes, filters screws, knobs, door panels, lights, electrical components, etc.
  • Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Basic wiring knowledge.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal assembly.
  • Knowledge of motor and drive assemblies is an asset.
  • Quality awareness combined with speed.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and to exercise independent judgment.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision in a fastpaced environment.
  • Reliable, responsible, flexible and organized.
  • Initiative in taking corrective actions.
  • Physically fit and able to lift light to moderate weight.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be an excellent team player.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ansul certification an asset.
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant required.

Salary:
$20.78 per hour
