Integration Lead

Type:
Full-time

Company Overview:

Position Overview:

Our company is seeking an Integration Lead to join our team.

The Integration Lead will be supporting public sector clients and technology partners as they integrate with Ocean's HL7 FHIR-based solutions, providing technical, code-level expertise on FHIR messaging, identifying gaps and bugs, and improving our technical documentation along the way.

The Integration Lead will be involved in a wide range of activities, from participating in integration project meetings, providing high-level guidance, responding to technical questions, reviewing partner code, troubleshooting errors, and promoting best practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to technical questions from integrators related to SMART on FHIR and HL7 FHIR integration, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Troubleshoot integration error conditions experienced by partners, and as necessary dive into our product codebase to find root causes, and in some cases recommend core product improvements for edge case fixes and/or better instrumentation and error reporting.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure we are adhering to standardization best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, training materials, sample code, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in product development and testing to ensure adherence to HL7 FHIR standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our HL7 FHIRbased software.
  • Stay up to date with digital health integration industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 3+ years of technical experience in software development or support.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
  • Knowledge of API design principles, web services (REST/SOAP) and authorization and authentication frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of HL7 FHIR standards and specifications is an asset.

Is this opportunity for you?

Some questions to ask yourself:

  • Do you have a software development background but prefer to work on multiple projects with other people (as opposed to focusing heads down on a single problem for longer?)
  • Do you like working in code but also enjoy working with developers at other companies to solve problems?
  • Do you like using technical skills to help others in a dynamic team environment, and do you have the patience to do so?
If you answered yes to the above questions, this might be the perfect role for you.

Every day you will be meeting and working with different people on complex software problems, and no day will be like the day before.

Working alongside the best development team in the Canadian Health IT sector, you will help other companies connect to Ocean using HL7 FHIR in order to enable end-to-end patient data transmission to make provider-provider and provider-patient communications more efficient and effective.
