Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor role is based in Delta, BC and reports directly to the Production Manager.


What You'll Get To Do:


  • Supervise and lead the workforce to achieve maximum production capability
  • Monitor operations to meet preestablished production and quality standards
  • Administer the collective bargaining agreement, company policies and procedures
  • Promote participation and ensure compliance with Group safety policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to investigate equipment failures and resolve issues as required
  • Coordinate shift activities with other supervisors to increase continuity of operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Who we are looking for:


  • Minimum High School diploma
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Supervision experience
  • Ability to make timely critical decisions in a fast paced multitask setting
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays and overtime as required
  • Extensive plant/industrial knowledge cement manufacturing background is desired
  • Ability to supervise and troubleshoot different kinds of technical, operational, quality and environmental issues
  • Cement plant experience
  • Working knowledge and technical understanding of cement manufacturing process and its equipment, process control systems, and lab systems
  • Technical College graduate with a focus on mechanical and/or control systems
  • Understanding of the chemistry of raw mix, clinker, and cement
  • Experience with SAP and Kronos

Work Environment:


  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
