You as a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager:
- Develop, implement and maintain a site-specific safety management system that supports compliance with the applicable federal, provincial and local laws, regulations, and codes for a large multi-phase, multi-employer project.
- Develop, initiatives, programs and tools to help support awareness and strengthen the multiemployer project culture
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
- Collaborate with internal teams and business lines on best practices and innovative ideas that continually drive improvement at the project level.
- Collaborate and support our Environmental team with the development and rollout of practices, procedures and systems
- Support and lead as required, incident reporting and investigations.
Is this the right role for you?
- Minimum 10 years related Safety experience in construction, environmental, or compliance
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Solid understanding of HSE management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements
- A strong Leader with the desire to be a part of a company with an entrepreneurial spirit and a fastpaced, Client First, resultoriented culture
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
