    Digital Content Coordinator – External Communications (Full-Time – Permanent)The Role and Opportunity

    Reporting to the Chief of Philanthropy, our Digital Content Coordinator will play a pivotal role in leading brand advocacy, spearheading innovative digital marketing campaigns, and crafting compelling multimedia content to make a real impact on mental health awareness. This individual will work in collaboration with internal communications and the Philanthropy team to ensure alignment of communications strategies to advance CMHA Toronto's brand awareness, reach and impact. They will differentiate CMHA Toronto's brand through key strategies and will leverage paid, shared, earned and owned media to ensure that the organizational story, brand and programs are presented in a compelling and engaging way.

    Salary: $54,124 – $62,733

    Hours of Work: 35 per week

    Location: Combination of remote and in-office at 700 Lawrence Ave. W

    Responsibilities

    1) Brand Management and Strategy

    • Championing CMHA Toronto, our brand, and our impact both internally and externally
    • Develop Works closely with internal communications staff to ensure brand and key message alignment between internal and external communications
    • Adheres to brand strategy that is aligned with CMHA Ontario and CMHA National's brand guidelines

    2) Digital Marketing Strategy Development

    • Work cross-departmentally to develop, implement, execute and evaluate digital marketing campaigns and strategies to fulfill program and service mandates
    • Focusing on producing organic and paid digital content to increase brand visibility, reach and impact
    • Works with CMHA National and CMHA Ontario to integrate national and regional campaigns into CMHA Toronto digital communications and to design publications where and when required

    3) Content Creation

    • Copywriting for digital communication
    • Collaborating with CMHA Toronto department areas and leadership to effectively communicate programs, services, fundraising, and awareness-raising campaigns
    • Work cross-departmentally to identify and develop compelling storytelling opportunities from across the organization and oversees the repurposing of content across channels

    4) Multimedia Content Management

    • Provides direction to website developer to update CMHA Toronto websites and completes content updates as needed
    • Shoots/sources photos and/or video to accompany strategic storytelling in alignment with CMHA brand identity and guidelines

    5) Social Media Management

    • Manages social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube to ensure regular updates
    • Monitors all social media channels to ensure timely responses and shows good judgment when engaging with the digital community

    6) Digital Advertising and Promotion

    • Provides leadership to coordinating digital campaigns across platforms to support marketing objectives including but not limited to Google AdWords, SEO and paid advertising
    • Conceptualizes, recommends and executes compelling and creative solutions for all digital communications platforms including social media, digital marketing and website
    • Designs dynamic and eye-catching ad visuals to be used for digital and/or print marketing purposes

    7) Newsletter and Email Campaign Coordination

    • Works with writer to coordinate and create content for CMHA Toronto's monthly Living. Working. Belonging. newsletter as informed by annual editorial calendar
    • Supports in the design of newsletter and electronic campaigns, and the general management and updating of MailChimp including managing subscriber lists

    8) Project Management and Evaluation

    • Develops and implements appropriate system to ensure monitoring of projects and initiatives in compliance with work schedules, objectives and key results
    • Identifies and evaluates risks associated with CMHA Toronto brand identity and reputation and works with leadership to take appropriate action to mitigate and control the risks

    9) Budget Management

    • Manages and monitors communications and marketing budgets and works with appropriate staff and leadership to implement and evaluate spending plans

    Experience & Education Required

    Education

    • Completion of two (2) year degree in communications, public relations, marketing or equivalent.


    Related Experience

    • Minimum three (3) years of experience building and engaging audiences through various social media channels, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, SnapChat, and/or TikTok
    • Experience monitoring and analyzing social and digital media metrics
    • Familiarity with Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and content marketing
    • Proficiency in WordPress or similar content management systems
    • Experience working with Google business products, including Analytics
    • Up-to-date knowledge of current trends and best practices in social media engagement and digital marketing
    • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, with potential travel requirements
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    Skills You Bring

    • Excellent understanding of how algorithms and data drive digital engagement.
    • Ability to conceptualize, recommend, and execute compelling and creative solutions for all digital communications platforms, including social media, digital marketing, and websites.
    • Excellent written communication and storytelling skills.
    • Proficiency in graphic design and/or Canva for digital and social media.
    • Photography/video skills are an asset.
    • Knowledge of web design and HTML/CSS is an asset.
    • Experience with MailChimp and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, board members, funders, and community partners.
